You can get back up to 15,600 rubles of the amount paid for life insurance (income tax is not refunded for accident and other casualty insurance).
Documents you will need
Documents required for the life insurance deduction
- certified copy of your passport, including the page with your registered address;
- certificate of income (form 2-NDFL, obtained from your employer);
- contract with the insurance company;
- certified copy of the insurer's license (not required if its details are stated in the contract);
- receipts, payment orders, and bank statements confirming premium transfers to the insurer — certified copies (these can be replaced with a premium payment certificate from the company where you took out the insurance);
- when claiming the deduction for a child, spouse, or parents, a document confirming kinship is required (a birth certificate — yours or your children's — or a marriage certificate);
- passport.
